Office Staff
Martha Crawford, Office Manager
I was
born in Waynesboro, Georgia (the self proclaimed bird dog
capital of the world), but I lived most of my life in
Cartersville and Rome, Georgia. Early on in life, I learned
the value of organization and efficiency in virtually
raising my two younger brothers and little sister.
Although I attended nursing school at Berry College after
graduating from Cartersville High School, I chose to take
another career path once I discovered I really didn’t care
too much for the sight of blood. However, I did decide to
remain in the medical field for most of my career.
I moved to the Atlanta area in 1991 and began my
concentration in the medical field as Office Manager,
Administrative Assistant positions, first working for the
Georgia Academy of Family Physicians, then for Network
Medical, a part of the Dekalb Medical System. Later I was
employed by the Premier Image Cosmetic Surgery Group (still
in the medical field although the more aesthetic side).
However, my best career choice was in 2002 when I was hired
for my present position with Preferred Anesthesia; now
known, of course, as Emory Specialty Associates –
Anesthesia.
Although you can find me most of my waking hours in the
office, I actually do have a regular life. I really enjoy
spending time with my two grandchildren, four year old
Dawson and one year old AnnElise. I spend as much time as
possible on the tennis court or at the gym and really love
traveling and, of course, shopping.
Gena Telli
I was
born in Cincinnati, Ohio and grew up in the family owned
business, an Italian market. I married and had two children
before moving to San Diego, California on a whim. I worked
as a restaurant manager for Jack-In-The-Box. During which
time I had two more children, which gave me a full house.
After my fourth child was born, I went back to school to
change careers. The medical field was always an interest of
mine and I was finally able to pursue it.
My husband was transferred and we moved to South Florida.
Here, I continued classes to get my certificate in medical
transcription. I worked for Weston Center for Plastic
Surgery for three years. In this office, I continued to
develop my skills in office coordinating and transcription.
My husband accepted a job here in Georgia in 2000. We feel
we have finally found our home and have been here ever
since. I worked in an orthopaedic office as a
transcriptionist. From that job I was presented another
opportunity with Preferred Anesthesia Services, and then
with ESA-Anesthesia.
My children are now 23, 21, 17, and 13. As they grow older,
they become more independent and I find myself focusing
more on my own goals.
