Steve Waronker, MD, MBA
I was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1958
at Georgia Baptist Hospital. i have lived almost my entire life in
Atlanta with the exception of a year spent in Savannah as a med
student at the Medical College of Georgia and a year in Chicago
doing a surgical internship.
I have been in practice since 1986 with the same group. After our
managing partner stepped down, I completed my MBA and managed the
practice for the past 5 years, This is my passion, as I still love
Medicine but the task of looking after the operations and growth of
a group with such outstanding members is where I get my real
kicks.
I have served many roles over the years in our hospital (formerly
Emory Dunwoody Medical Center and soon to be Emory Johns Creek
Hospital). I also have the privledge of serving as the medical
director at Roswell Orthopedic Surgery Center and North Crescent
Surgery Center.
I have at home, my first, last, and only wife of 21 years, Mitzi,
age unknown and 2 sons, Jeffrey, age 19 a Freshman at the
University of Georgia and Brian, age 14, a student at Davis
Academy, and soon to be at Riverwood High School.
Work and golf are my passions and playing texas holdem with my life
long friends is pretty amusing as well.
I am proud to be a part of this great medical practice.
